چکیده

Scale-free and biological networks follow a power law distribution pk / k a for the probability that a node is connected to k other nodes; the corresponding ranges for a (biological: 1 < a < 2; scale-free: 2 < a6 3) yield a diverging variance for the connectivity k and lack of predictability for the average connectivity. Predictability can be achieved with the R enyi, Tsallis and Landsberg–Vedral extended entropies and corresponding ‘‘disorders’’ for correctly chosen values of the entropy index q. Escort distributions pk / k aq with q > 3=a also yield a nondiverging variance and predictability. It is argued that the Tsallis entropies may be the appropriate quantities for the study of scale-free and biological networks. 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

ENERGY AWARE DISTRIBUTED PARTITIONING DETECTION AND CONNECTIVITY RESTORATION ALGORITHM IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

Mobile sensor networks rely heavily on inter-sensor connectivity for collection of data. Nodes in these networks monitor different regions of an area of interest and collectively present a global overview of some monitored activities or phenomena. A failure of a sensor leads to loss of connectivity and may cause partitioning of the network into disjoint segments. A number of approaches have be...

Title : Inference of gene regulation network topology by perturbation analysis

This paper addresses the problem of identifying the large-scale topology of gene regulation networks from features that can be derived from microarray data sets. Understanding large-scale structures of gene regulation is fundamentally important in biology. Three main classes of network models, exponential network, scale-free network, and small-world network, have been used to describe topologic...

Representing a Model for Improving Connectivity and Power Dissipation in Wireless Networks Using Mobile Sensors

Wireless sensor networks are often located in areas where access to them is difficult or dangerous. Today, in wireless sensor networks, cluster-based routing protocols by dividing sensor nodes into distinct clusters and selecting local head-clusters to combine and send information of each cluster to the base station and balanced energy consumption by network nodes, get the best performance ...

epl draft Architectural and functional connectivity in scale-free integrate- and-fire networks

Using integrate-and-fire networks, we study the relationship between the architectural connectivity of a network and its functional connectivity as characterized by the network’s dynamical properties. We show that dynamics on a complex network can be controlled by the topology of the network, in particular, scale-free functional connectivity can arise from scale-free architectural connectivity,...

Toughness of the Networks with Maximum Connectivity

The stability of a communication network composed of processing nodes and communication links is of prime importance to network designers. As the network begins losing links or nodes, eventually there is a loss in its effectiveness. Thus, communication networks must be constructed to be as stable as possible, not only with respect to the initial disruption, but also with respect to the possible...
